Modern Classic Bed

The Modern Classic's stately and formal appearance graces the bedroom with refine modernism. Its impeccable craftsmanship embodies the spirit of perfectionism that fueled the Bauhaus style of architecture and design.

Drawing from the design aesthetics of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the headboard and frame are upholstered in soft, full grain aniline leather. Expertly tailored, the individual leather squares are sewn together using the capitonne technique, detailed with piping over each seam and then buttoned to create a tufted appearance. Two round bolster pillows contribute a strong counterpoint to the square composition while also providing support for inclined repose. Inset in the bed frame are orthopedic wood slats that allow for air circulation beneath the mattress. Four round chrome feet are inset to prevent toe stubbing and the padded frame is soft and forgiving.

Produced in three sizes to accommodate standard American mattresses in Queen, Eastern King and California King sizes, the Modern Classic Bed coordinates with all the Modern Classics by Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier, Stam and Bruer Create a fully luxurious bedroom environment with the addition of the Mies Bench and Modern Classic chair and ottoman.
