This new version of the metro bed is available without tufting which adds to its minimalistic design.
Drawing design inspiration from the highly popular Metro Sectional Sofa, the Metro Bed combines the function of and adjustable height headboard with chic, contemporary styling. Two individually operating headboards flip upward to create a high, fully supportive shoulder/ head rest for sitting up in bed while reading or watching television. With a simple push, the headrest folds down for a low, sleek profile. Personal comfort is ensured by Metro's ability to adjust to each user's needs.
Completely upholstered in glove soft leather, the headboard is thickly padded for enveloping comfort. The luxurious top grain leather is easy to keep clean and dust free by wiping with a soft, damp cloth. Several leather colors are available. The bedrail is padded and leather covered with no hard edges or sharp corners. An inset, chromed steel leg supports the foot of the bed contributing a clean, minimalist look.
Set within the bedframe are flexible orthopedic wood slats that support standard innerspring or latex mattresses. The slats that eliminate the need for a bulky boxspring and allow air to circulate. The bed is produced to accommodate standard American queen or eastern king mattresses. The headboard ships in one piece, simple assembly of the three bedrails and single steel foot is required.
